BADIs is an organisation for DVSA instructors around Birmingham (not learner drivers), sharing know-how & support.

It’s also to help people qualify to teach and learn more about this training industry, partly through our monthly meetings.
The name "BADIs" (pronounced "baddies") is to deliberately counter ADIs who think they are the "goodies" and that the DVSA are the “baddies”.

So BADIs differs from some ADI organisations: it knows that success follows self-improvement as professionals. We hence work constructively with DVSA (and others), rather than complain.
BADIs comprises 50-60 ADIs whose enthusiasm and experience is well above levels of instructors who are not members.
Most of us specialise in training pupils for the car (category B) "L-test", but some work with advanced driver training, company (fleet) drivers, heavy goods vehicles, or trainee instructors.

BADIs is a member of ADINJC (the ADIs' National Joint Council), which is among the first tier of parties contacted by government on policy and major operational changes, such as the tests themselves and when a pandemic strikes.
Our committee provides this site free, but we recommend for best value that you consider joining to see latest news and summaries of our meetings.
